Staying Stylish One Step at a Time

Christmas Gift of the Season…

I know…it’s a little late to be talking Christmas gifts….but, I have to share this with all of you.

Because of my Grandma falling ill and the general chaos of the holidays, I was hurried for time to get all of my Christmas shopping done.

SO….on a whim, I thought these would be a fun gift for quite a few people on my Christmas list. We live in a world of people addicted to their phones and social media – again, quite a few of those people – on my Christmas list.

So, I decided to feed off that addiction and found these….

Isotoner SmartTouch Gloves

These gloves were a “homerun out of the park” hit! I mean, EVERYONE I gave these to – LOVED them! I even got a pair from my mom and I LOVE them – and, I’m not nearly addicted to my phone like some of the other friends/family on my Christmas list.

It’s the perfect combination of winter weather wear and techy gadget all wrapped into one!

Keep hands warm and still be able to use your phone!

Special stitching enables you to use your phone while keeping your gloves on….a win-win during the cold, winter weather!

I know Christmas is over, but, winter is not! These are still perfect gifts for men, women, and teens!

Here is where you can find retailers that sell them:

LOVE Your Loved Ones…

Grandma Dave

Here is the most “stylish” advice that I can give you….LOVE your loved ones! Don’t take life for granted, don’t take them for granted, cherish every moment, and let them know how much you love them. That is THE best “stylish” advice that I can ever give you – in my opinion.

My Grandma Dave passed away this weekend. And, my heart is broken. Grandma Dave gets her name from her real name, Arlene Davidson. Get it? Davidson…shortened to Dave? Makes total sense that she would be called Grandma Dave, right?

We were blindsided when she fell ill in November. She is one of the strongest women I know and very rarely got sick. So, when she fell ill and fell hard – we knew something was wrong. She fought a swift battle against cancer and lost…but, I think she was ok with that. She had an amazing strength and sense of peace about her….I can only wish I had an ounce of her strength, if I was put into a position like that. But, like I said, she handled it with such a peace about her. Her faith in God was amazing and I truly believe that is what got her through this time.

I have battled with various feelings throughout the last few months and in her last few days. Did she know I loved her? Did I spend enough time with her? I didn’t call her enough. I should have gotten back home more. The whole “shoulda-woulda-coulda” scenarios start running through my brain.

There is no turning back time. There is no “starting over”. I know deep down that Grandma knows I loved her – but, you start to second guess yourself when things like this happen. So….please listen to the advice I give you…..LOVE your loved ones! Don’t wait for a special occasion or event. Don’t wait to call. Don’t wait for anything. Other than God, no one knows how much time they have – so, live each moment to the fullest. Spend your life with the people you love. And, cherish every minute you get.

I love you, Grandma Dave! So much! My heart hurts! But, I know you are in a better place – free of pain and suffering! And, especially, after 34 years, you have been reunited with Grandpa. You are starting a whole new chapter in life ever after…and I’m so excited for you! I love you!

Love you, Grandma!
